Oregon state in US has lot of natural places to see. The Colombian gorge is covered in a separate blog. In this, the places visited in and around Portland are covered.
PORTLAND (OR)
OREGON ZOO
Oregon Zoo is located on the way towards Beaverton from Portland. The zoo has five major exhibit areas: Great Northwest, Fragile Forests, Asia, Pacific Shores and Africa. Within these large areas are 23 specialized exhibits. It takes the whole day almost to cover the place at leisure. Definitely, it has a great collection of animals and worth a visit for all ages.
CHINESE GARDEN (Lan Su Chinese Garden)
This is a walled Chinese garden in the Chinatown area of Portland. This place features plants and trees of China, architectural structures - small and medium giving a living experience of being in China. A good place for shutterbugs !
