It was a 2 day trip to Bucharest and had 1 hour in the evenings to get around. First evening, there was a park just outside the hotel we stayed - Herastrau Park.
Herastrau Park is one of the most popular spots in Bucharest, a place to stroll and as well as hosts royal palaces in the huge park. Few cafes, shaded places, seats, open grass make the place friendly and enjoyable.
Day-2 evening - we took a hop-on-hop-off trip without getting down anywhere in the limited time we had :).
Popular places seen in the trip primarily were squares, statues and monuments. Most important of all was the Palace of the Parliament.
- Free Press Square (Piata Presei Libere)
- Village Museum (Muzeul Satului)
- Arch of Triumph (Arcul de Triumf)
- Victory Square (Piata Victoriei)
- Revolution Square (Piata Revolutiei)
- CEC Palace (Palatul CEC)
