Volendam
Volendam is a popular village for Cheese factory and fishing harbour. People can reach Marken from here either by boat or by road. We went through the tour of Cheese factory, tasted samples and bought few.
There are lot of souvenir and food shops by the streets.
Marken
Marken is popular for the wooden houses, fishing and wooden shoe factory. In Dutch practices, wooden shoes were worn during agriculture by the farmers for conveniently walking in field. The practice of it has become a famous tourist attraction and a souvenir for every visitor.
