Zaanse Schans

Windmills at Zaanse Schans is the major attraction. Very beautiful landscape and picturesque with wind mills, native settlement and structures makes the place look exotic and happy time for shutterbugs.

There are various mills like saw mill, oil mill, cattle rearing and much more happening around and the tourists are allowed to walk around and get a feel of it. Quite a bit of experience to remember.

Volendam

Volendam is a popular village for Cheese factory and fishing harbour. People can reach Marken from here either by boat or by road. We went through the tour of Cheese factory, tasted samples and bought few.

There are lot of souvenir and food shops by the streets.

Marken

Marken is popular for the wooden houses, fishing and wooden shoe factory. In Dutch practices, wooden shoes were worn during agriculture by the farmers for conveniently walking in field. The practice of it has become a famous tourist attraction and a souvenir for every visitor.

NL - Amsterdam

Amsterdam - One of the pleasant cities to roam around as a tourist. Great canals and city walks are definitely a great experience for anyone visiting Amsterdam.

I did multiple visits to Amsterdam across all weathers - and often a jerkin is required for chill air and rains. It rains often across the year and be prepared for it.

GVB - Local transportation of Amsterdam - A very convenient local transportation in Amsterdam. when you walk around and enjoy Amsterdam, tired or caught in rain and return; no worries, get to the nearby GVB tram station and it gets/connects you wherever you need to reach.

There are accessible through the GVB day ticket or multi-day ticket or by the access card for all transportation.

Dam Square - Heart place of Amsterdam. Very beautiful lanes, canals, boat rides in canals and lot of photo opportunities. Day light visit and night life visits are entirely very good and so different to enjoy. Do not miss either of them.

Rembrandtplein shall guarantee one a great night life. Lots of restaurants, canals, nice walkways, beautiful buildings, streets, statues, pubs, food and much more. One can kill a day and night here with all the time.

Royal Palace Amsterdam - Major landmark in Amsterdam. Never miss this place if you are in Amsterdam and this is great gathering and happening place. You just get down anywhere around and a day out if guaranteed.

Vlaamse Frites - One of the best frites to taste in the world. The crispy and well flavored frites can be ordered with sauce or mayo. They are real crispy and so nicely flavored. The shop is just 2 minutes walk from Amsterdam Centraal. Moaz is a casual veg snacking place.

AMSTERDAM IN WINTER

The frozen canals are a treat to watch in Amsterdam during snow.
